Sugar Skull: Halloween Make-up by chimocho Sugar Skull: Halloween Make-up by chimocho
Not cosplay, but figured I'd upload anyway!

I had a Halloween party at uni last night, but didnt have any kind of costume available to wear. So I figured I would try my hand at some facepainting, seeing as I had all my paints from Moxxi still :P

I was originally going to do a kind of creepy-cute skull design, similar to this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6DFQX…, but I found myself drawn to the Mexican Day of the Dead sugar skull designs, so tried to recreate something a bit more stylised and colourful on my face!

I've never really tried doing anything with facepaints before; I didnt have enough confidence in my abilities to do my own makeup for Moxxi, but this was actually really fun and something I might have a play around with some more now that I feel a little more confident with it :P I also did Reiss' makeup for last night (he went as Jack Skellington... no surprises there!) and though it was significantly more difficult on someone elses face I was so pleased with how we both looked. We got loads of compliments and photos and it was great fun ^_^

I edited out the background of this pic, bumped up the contrast and added the little florally corners, but there's been no editing done on my actual face, just in case anyone was wondering :P
